On July 23, 1903, 100 members organized and ratified the bylaws for the Old Dartmouth Historical Society. The group would transition into today’s New Bedford Whaling Museum a few years later.

The New Bedford Whaling Museum partnered with me to help create an engaging social media campaign to celebrate its 120th anniversary.

We broke the campaign into three weeks, focusing on three videos: Visitors, The Museum, and Water Street. We planned to release the content through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Reels.

The posts reached over 12,000 accounts.

120 Years of the NBWM: Visitors

We wanted to kindle nostalgia with visitors of the New Bedford Whaling Museum, by highlighting photos of visitors through 120 years.

120 Years of the NBWM: The Museum

We felt it necessary to remind people where the Museum originated from and how much it has changed in 120 years.

120 Years of the NBWM: Water Street

Building off the success of the last video, we wanted to show people how much the museum changed over the years.
