On Friday, April 22, 2022, the New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced this year’s nominees for the New England Emmy Awards.
I’m proud to announce that my commercial, Summer in the Seaport, received a Boston/New England Emmy Award nomination for the commercial category!
The commercial competes against five other commercials from across New England, and the Emmy Award recipient will be announced on June 4, 2022.
Regardless of whether the film receives the award, I am so proud of this achievement.
About the Project

I partnered with the City of New Bedford and a group of New Bedford nonprofit organizations, including AHA! New Bedford, DATMA, The New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center, and the New Bedford Whaling Museum create a commercial spot that advocates New Bedford’s working seaport to tourists in the region.
We wanted to remind the world that despite COVID-19, New Bedford remains open for business.
The film focuses on the unique sounds typically heard during the summer months and featured original music from local composer Jeremy Young.
Once we completed the film, the film circulated on the internet and television as part of the Summer in the Seaport Campaign.
